Accountable to the President of the University, IPRCD also assists the University President in Public Relations and information management activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Helping the University in promoting its mission and restructuring of its services to effectively deliver them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting the University and its mission, vision, as well as its core activities through publications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing information related services and functions pertinent to its stakeholders, University members and the wider population.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate the university\u2019s relations with institutions in countries in the region and beyond<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Functions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the major tasks that are undertaken by the Public and International Relations Directorate include the following.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Publication of Monthly and Quarterly Newsletters,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparation and distribution of yearly Calendars, Diaries,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparation and distribution of Brochures, Fliers, Booklets, Catalogs,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparation and distribution of Invitations\/Cards, Posters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>News releases on new achievements and events in the University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitating long and short term graduation ceremonies&nbsp;&nbsp; seminars, workshop etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arranging experience sharing visits for external visitors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting the services of the University<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arranging media coverage of important events (planned and regular), including conferences and workshops.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organizing social events for the University community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assessing students` and other clients \u2018Complaints and satisfactions with University services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receiving guests coming to the University<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Media monitoring &nbsp;related to the institution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring social media of the university\u2019s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating awareness to the university\u2019s communities on national issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating national consensus among the university\u2019s communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consults the university higher &nbsp;officials &nbsp;over University affairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update and maintain content posted on the Web<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respond to requests for information from the media or designate an appropriate spokesperson or information source<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Informed&nbsp; the staff and\/or students&nbsp; important University issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conducting studies about MAU relations with other foreign institutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>working towards expanding linkages with other foreign institutions.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>following up and support scholarship and internship students from other countries;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>handling, in close liaison with the Admissions office, scholarship requests and the recruitment of international students; and assisting in the affairs of international teaching staff;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>providing information for international students on scholarships and on exchange Programmes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>facilitating and manage, in close liaison with the Student Admission Office, the University\u2019s inter- institutional agreements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>assisting with negotiating inter-institutional agreements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>creating links with relevant embassies and organizations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>preparing academic, social and cultural events (during day or night times) for foreign students and staff;
